Spermidine, Explained: The One Ingredient With A Real Cognitive Angle
Spermidine is the only one of MindTrex's four ingredients with research connecting it to cognitive function specifically.
Understanding what spermidine's research genuinely supports helps set realistic expectations for this formula.
What Spermidine actually is
Spermidine is a naturally occurring polyamine found in aged cheese, soy products, mushrooms and whole grains, and produced within the body. It plays a role in autophagy, the cellular process of clearing out damaged components.
What the research shows
A small pilot randomized controlled trial (the SmartAge study) in older adults with subjective cognitive decline found modest memory improvements after spermidine-rich supplementation, reviewed on PubMed. Observational research also links higher dietary spermidine intake to slower cognitive decline in aging populations, summarized on PubMed.
Applying this to MindTrex
Spermidine is one of four ingredients in MindTrex's formula, and the only one with a genuine tie to cognitive research. The other three are primarily fiber and metabolic-health compounds — see our piece on Baobab, Arabinose and Glucomannan.
